Music in the Garden: Family Day

Activities and performances from 10:00am to 3:00pm

We’re proud to introduce the newest member of the festival – an event that’s designed for families and fun! We’re creating an entertaining village on VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Great Lawn where children and their families can roam about, explore, and enjoy music and nature. Site performers include the Tickle Trunk Touring Circus, a troupe of professional circus performers that uses aerial work, acrobatics, juggling and music to tell the story of Chuckles, a clown who has lost his laughter but regains it through interaction with his companions. Also on the day’s agenda are face-painting and craft-making, an interactive drumming circle and the Tom Lee Musical Instrument Petting Zoo where kids will get a close-up look at fascinating musical instruments and hear their sounds.
